Bang Bang Shrimp Pasta Recipe
One of my first jobs was as a hostess at Bonefish Grill. While I was there I fell in love with Bang Bang shrimp and ordered it for dinner every day that I worked! When I got married and bought a house we were no longer close to a Bonefish Grill location so I started missing my Bang Bang shrimp! That is when I started to try to make it at home! I tried so many variations of the copy cat Bang Bang shrimp recipe that I found online, but I still couldn’t find one that satisfied my craving for the real thing. That is when I started trying my own thing to recreate my favorite appetizer and I did it! And then I took it a step further and also turned it into a pasta dish that my family makes for dinner whenever shrimp is on sale at the grocery!
First I’ll let you in on my secret copy cat Bang Bang shrimp recipe and then I’ll show you how to turn it into Bang Bang shrimp pasta!
Ingredients for my copy cat Bang Bang shrimp recipe include:
- 1lb Medium shrimp (peeled and deveined)
- 3/4 c Cornstarch
- 1/2 c Siracha Mayonnaise
- 1/4 c Thai Sweet Chili Sauce
- 1 tsp Siracha
- 1/4 c Green Onion (chopped)
- 1/2 c Olive Oil
- 1/4 Head of Iceberg lettuce (chopped)
To make a Bang Bang shrimp appetizer:
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet
- peel and devein the shrimp if not purchased that way and coat with cornstarch

If you want to make your favorite appetizer into a pasta now you will need a little more of the mayo, chili sauce, siracha and green onion. You can omit the lettuce and instead substitute spaghetti noodles.
Fun things to try adding to your copy cat Bang Bang shrimp pasta:
- Broccoli
- Asparagus
- Scallops
- Julienned Carrots
- Calamari
- Baby Corn
- Snap Peas
- Bell Peppers
And after dinner if you need a little sweet to cut the heat, my Bonkers Brownies are a PERFECT ending for a PERFECT meal! Plus, they are insanely, waistline friendly!
