What can you substitute in this great recipe?
You may use grand/jumbo biscuits. However, if you do, only use one roll of biscuits. Cut them in half to fill pan more completely.
Using a tube of cinnamon rolls is also a fun substitute! Just make sure to watch your cooking time because it may be slightly different!
Don’t have or like pecans? No problem! Leave them out! OR substitute a nut you DO like!
Don’t have a fluted pan? That’s ok! You can also use a pie pan or any 8-9″ shallow baking pan! Just make sure to cover the entire bottom of the pan with biscuits by cutting them to fill in the open spaces!
Easy Sticky Buns Suggestions:
Cutting the biscuits into fours before adding them to the pan makes this dish even more pull-apart fun! Perfect for kids to already have it in bite-sized pieces!
Make these sticky buns extra ooey gooey by making another bowl of butter/syrup mixture and dipping the biscuits in it before adding to the pan!
Add more sticky and texture by topping them after you have baked, cooled, and flipped them with this mixture:
- 1/3 c Brown Sugar
- 3 tbsp Butter
- 1 tbsp Maple Syrup
- 1/2 c Chopped Pecans
**Heat in saucepan over medium heat until melted and well combined. Drizzle over sticky buns.

Yum. I really need to buy a Bundt pan. I’ve seen so many good recipes using one in the last few days. I’ve always wanted to try a recipe like this. Growing up French toast was my favorite but my kids don’t like it.
