Not Today | The 9 Habits of Extreme Productivity Review
I recently purchased: Not Today | The 9 Habits of Extreme Productivity because I like to try to read at least one non-fiction book a month. I love reading books that inspire and motivate me to be the best version of myself as possible. Working on myself each day has become a priority for me. This book, Not Today, has helped me to substantially grow as a person, become a more diligent and efficient worker, and to refocus on my priorities and passion.
Becoming a stay-at-home mom, I had no idea how much time I WOULDN’T have! My days became so full that I was having trouble organizing the ciaos, differentiating between my needs and my kids needs, and focusing on what is most important. On top of that, I started my own business with Struggle Shuttle.
I wanted my business, my passion, to grow and start providing some passive income for my family, but I also didn’t want it to envelop all of my time. My kids are my first priority and I didn’t want to take any quality time away from them. I needed to find a balance. Not Today | The 9 Habits of Extreme Productivity helped me to start accomplishing my goals by giving me the “how to’s” of becoming the most efficient worker I can be.
I decided to write this review of Not Today because of the impact that it has already had on me and my life. I truly believe that this book is meant for everyone. No matter what you do in your day to day life or what your goals and passions are, this book can help you to reach new heights faster than you ever thought possible.
Not Today | The 9 Habits of Extreme Productivity review:
Written by husband and wife duo, Erica and Mike Schultz, Not Today was published in 2021 with the goal to help readers, “Take control of your TIME, achieve your goals and become unstoppable”. Through years of accumulated research, testing and observations along with interactive, online tools, Not Today | The 9 Habits of Extreme Productivity offers tried and true methods used to adjust your habits and achieve maximum productivity.
Not Today Synopsis:
Mike and Erica Schultz started a thriving business enterprise amidst their 5 year old son battling and losing the fight against heart disease. Spending copious amounts of time in the hospital with Ari while caring for their other children as well as starting their own business caused the authors to reflect upon their productivity strategies.
How were they spending their time? Where did they need to spend the most time? Was the time spent doing something productive? What was most important to them? How could they balance everything in their and their children’s lives?
After much reflection and nestled upon the backs of other scientists and psychologists research and experimentations, Mike and Erica developed 9 habits of extreme productivity. Using simple techniques such as: staying focused without distraction, goal writing, using helpful hack to end procrastination, thinking positively, getting in the zone and finding ways to refuel your mental and physical strength, readers are able to maximize their productivity levels and achieve their goals more quickly.
Mike and Erica break down their methods into chapters of each of the 9 habits. They dedicate each chapter to defining and explaining each habit, then identifying how to naturally incorporate it into your life. Each chapter ends with a “Time for Action” in which they challenge the reader to embrace the concept discussed through a simple, outlined activity.
Finally, Not Today | The 9 Habits of Extreme Productivity, ends with a personal 90-day productivity code challenge. This detailed challenge gives the reader a step-by-step guide to adopting the 9 habits in a systematic manner to unleash their full productivity potential.
Conclusion:
Not Today | The 9 Habits of Extreme Productivity is designed for everyone. It doesn’t matter if you are a corporate executive or a stay-at-home mom, like myself. This book will give you interactive guidance to vastly improve the quality of the time spent on the things that matter the most to you.
Everyone has the same amount of time in the day. It’s how you spend that time that matters. The more strategic you can be throughout the day will develop the highest amounts of productivity. Hence, increased productivity leads to increased success and quality of life. Not Today provides instructions to obtain this level of achievement.
