This first one is so true. My first baby had actual “meal” times and even though she hardly ever ate anything and I threw it all away, I still took the time to try to make gourmet, homemade baby food. People tell me when my youngest is sucking on a rock and I simply shrug my shoulders and tell them, “ya gotta pick your battles”…

My almost 4 year old is a NONSTOP talker and almost always about nothing. The other day I was on the phone and asked her to be quiet for a minute. She got all upset because she just HAD to tell me one more thing…
I asked the person on the phone to hold for a second and asked her what it was…
She said that her red candy (that I gave her to keep her busy while I called to schedule a doctor’s appointment) tasted like strawberries…
Okay…I guess that was important. UGH!
